Balancing A Body By Hand-Cranial Sacral Balancing

Balancing A Body By Hand
Cranial Sacral Balancing

We all have an instinctive reaction when our loved ones need comforting. Our loving hand goes right onto the back.

In our body are strange flows and fluids that reflect calm, fear, pain and other dis-ease in our body and mind. We can feel these rhythms through the 70,000 sensors in our hands. The only thing is that many of us do not know they are there. There are qualities you may feel when your hands lie along the spine. Movements like choppy, smooth, sluggish, excited, aggressive and shy.

Cranial Sacral Balancing gives us a system that has hand positions with very relaxed light touch.  There are 70,000 sensors in the hands. Place your hand along the spine and eventually you will feel the flow and rhythm of cranial and sacral fluids.

I took a Cranial Sacral Balancing course where we were able to practice on each other. We laid our hands on specific areas of the body. One student was laying hands on my knees. She jumped back as if shocked by electric current and I immediately began to shiver with cold. The instructor came over to see what had happened. I told her my body felt cold like when I was recovering from Gallbladder surgery. She said I was releasing anesthesia from my tissue. Every cell in our body holds memory of our experiences. This is a great therapy for releasing cell memory and trauma within the body. I found the practice of Cranial Sacral Balancing to be very relaxing.

Practical Use

One night my grandson awoke from a nightmare. He came into my room shaking with fear. After he shared the dream with me we returned to his bed. I helped him relax. He turned over to the wall and I placed my hands lightly, over his spine. I placed one hand on the top of the spine and the other one on the lower spine near the tail bone. I felt a splashing sensation with high sustained peaks going up then down. It reminded me of a dolphin jumping out of the ocean. The wave went up and splashed under one hand and then moved down the spine, splashing into the other hand. It did not take long for the rhythm to slow down. It smoothed out like a soft wave on the shore gently flowing from one end of the spine to the other. My Grandson fell peacefully asleep. You can do this also for someone who needs balancing or calming.

The techniques I have learned, the sensations and communication coming from the body have opened a whole new understanding of the body. After taking this class, I am aware of more sensations and I have a calm relaxed feeling while I practice Reiki or any healing modality. I now know the benefits of taking time on each area.
